My wife brought her vehicle here through a referral, and unfortunately, I left extremely disappointed after paying $200 for a diagnosis. Unfortunately, my wife agreed to the $200 diagnostic fee before I had an opportunity to take the vehicle somewhere else for a second opinion. I understand that she authorized the diagnostic, so I’m not blaming the shop for charging the fee. However, after reviewing the results and getting additional opinions, I feel the diagnostic process and recommendations warranted a much closer look. I can’t speak to the quality of their actual repair work because we decided not to have the recommended repairs completed here. However, based on our experience with the diagnostic process, I would not return. The biggest issue was that it felt like more time was spent identifying additional repairs and routine maintenance recommendations than diagnosing and addressing the specific problem we originally brought the vehicle in for. From a customer’s perspective, that was extremely frustrating. We were quoted $1,044 for a thermostat and water housing replacement, which seemed very high compared with other estimates we received. What concerned me even more was th

Excellent customer service! The details of what needed to be repaired was communicated with an estimate that included photos and video. My daughter who goes to UWEC called and said here car was making noises. With living 3 hours away it made it hard to help her. I called Valley City Automotive and they had her drop the car of the same day. They communicated with her and also me and it was such a smooth process and had her car fixed within days. I would highly recommend Valley City Automotive!!!!

I had a great experience with Shaun at Valley City Automotive. I was purchasing a vehicle from out of state and needed someone I could trust to give me a thorough and unbiased inspection. Shaun was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and detailed throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain what he found, pointed out anything that deserved attention, and made sure I fully understood the condition of the vehicle. They also serviced the car with fresh brake fluid and coolant, which gave me additional peace of mind before having it shipped across the country. Shaun even went above and beyond by helping me coordinate with the transport company and making the pickup process as smooth as possible. It’s difficult putting your trust in someone when you’re hundreds of miles away from the vehicle, but Shaun made the entire process much easier and gave me confidence every step of the way. I would highly recommend Shaun and Valley City Automotive to anyone looking for an honest, thorough, and professional shop.

I highly recommend Valley City Automotive for not only routine maintenance, but also repairs and diagnosing vehicle concerns! I worked with Sean, who was welcoming, informative, and transparent throughout the entire process. I came in with a repair concern after receiving an extremely high quote from a dealership. The team at Valley City Automotive quickly identified the actual issue and repaired it for about a quarter of the dealership's estimate. Their honesty, expertise, and fair pricing earned my trust, and I'll definitely be returning for future service. Highly recommend!

I would 100% recommend going to Valley City Automotive if you want quality service. Everyone I interacted with was very nice and knowledgeable. We had bought a car off of someone and almost immediately started having problems. I called up Christian at Valley City Auto and he was able to get us in quickly. They gave us an in depth inspection on our car for free to diagnose every problem it was having. They emailed a review of everything they had found with pictures and videos so you know they aren't just pulling your leg. They also rate your services to what really needs to be done, to things you can put off for now. They did not pressure me into getting anything and were completely supportive of whatever I wanted. You can pay right online or in the store. My car ended up needing a lot of suspension work (I am not surprised with the noises it was making), the mechanics did beautiful work. They are reasonably priced, there are other places in the area that are probably cheaper, but you will not get the quality that they offer here. It really does come down to quality over quantity. Every time I called or had a question, Christian was super responsive. The car runs like a dream now th
